Thankful, Thankful, Thankful!

Hi penguins,

I love this time of year! Of course it's fun to see fall changes all around (the leaves, the weather, the fuzzy sweaters), but what I love most of all is the reminder to be thankful. We are so busy all the time, and sometimes I forget how lucky I am. It's important to remember all that we have and all that we can do. I am thankful for SO many things, but here are a few:

- my caring and fun-loving husband
- my sweet and gentle son
- my bright and brave daughter
- my parents, my siblings, my grandmother, my aunts & uncles, my niece and nephews.....my family that loves and supports me
- my hard-working and fun teaching partners (that's Mrs. V. and Mrs. Dorn!)
- my friends, both near and far
- all the smart, silly, creative kids in the Galapagos Village
- my home that keeps me safe and warm
- the food that I eat and that I feed to my family
- my health and the health of my family
- the chance to live in a country where we have choices and opportunities
- natural beauty - animals, plants, trees, flowers, lakes, oceans, mountains
- books, beaches, music....all the things that bring me joy

I think I could go on forever, but I'd love to hear your thoughts too. For what are you thankful?

Love,
Mrs. Barboza

I am thankful for my teacher because she has taught me so much in my Kinder and also teaching me a lot in my 1st grade. She is one of the best teacher whom I am thankful and will be grateful forever.

I am thankful for my mom because she does lot of things for me, like buying me chocolates, ice cream, teaching me and making and helping in my homework. And also she always tries to make me do the perfect work in my homework. I am thankful for that.
I am thankful for my dad because he works hard and earns money for the family to support us and also he teaches me about bible and about God.

I love and am thankful for my family.

I am thankful for my little brother Jack because he is so fun and full of joy and also he always waits for me until I come back from school to play with me, he is my best friend and a brother.

And my big brother also teaches me lot of games of his level, I already know so much to play like him, I am thankful for that.

I am also thankful that God blesses us each day and for his protection on us, special during the minor earth quake last week, I am thankful that we are all safe from any major disasters.

I am thankful for my friends and each and every one of my class mates and my family back in India.

I am thankful that I am six years and that my baby tooth has come out. And the love and care which my family shows me each day because makes me feel safe with them.
Thank you for reading

My spring break was for two weeks. The first week, my mom and I went walking everyday for 1 hr, and we stopped by Sogo bakery which is in Blaney to buy my favorite snack which is pineapple short bread. L love it because it comes with a neat packing.

Then also, we fixed back the cage which we had for the mourning doves. They found the cage once again hanging in our back yard in the same place, I saw them building next inside, both mom and dad birds were a great team. Finally I think them mommy bird has laid the eggs because it sits on it now. I also see the dad and mom bird switch places to take care of the egg, I can't wait until to see the baby birds. I think it would hatch in another 20 days

We went shopping, to pick up my little brother from school, then played Wii with my brothers and watch TV.

Here is another part, my mom made me write journal every day, play piano and practice, and also my spelling practice.
I read to my little brother everyday.
In the evenings, we play basket ball outside.

I have four more days left from my spring break including the weekends. I can't wait to get back to school. All I have to do is to prepare for my sharing. I hope my teachers and my friends are all having fun

Thanks for reading my blog
